Transforming Mature Gas Assets into
High-Performance Production Platforms

BCF Energy partners with and invests alongside leading production technology companies, while deploying capital into upstream gas assets where aligned technologies can unlock stranded resources and improve asset economics.

Two Core Pillars Driving Value from Mature Gas

Across global energy markets, mature gas fields continue to underperform — not due to lack of resource, but due to declining reservoir pressure, liquid loading, and legacy production constraints. Significant volumes of recoverable gas remain stranded within existing infrastructure.

BCF Energy is a partnership between Beaumont Partners and Cooper and Company, created to address this structural inefficiency. Our platform is built on two pillars that work together to unlock production and improve asset economics.

PILLAR 01 — Technology
Partnering with High-Potential Technology Companies
BCF Energy partners with best-in-class production technology companies. Upwing Energy — with its proven Subsurface Compressor System — is our flagship technology partner. We continue to evaluate and integrate compatible technologies that deliver measurable production uplift.
PILLAR 02 — Capital & Operations
Deploying Capital into Upstream Gas Assets
BCF Energy deploys capital into mature upstream gas assets through acquisitions, joint ventures, and direct operations. We target fields where our aligned technology portfolio can unlock stranded resources, enhance production performance, and materially improve asset economics over the asset life.

Advanced Production Technology — Led by Upwing Energy's SCS

The cornerstone of BCF Energy's technology platform is Upwing Energy's Subsurface Compressor System (SCS) — a proven, field-tested downhole compression solution. BCF deploys Upwing's tools as operator-partner and continues to evaluate complementary technologies that further enhance production and asset economics.

The Subsurface Compressor System (SCS) is developed and owned by Upwing Energy Inc. BCF Energy deploys Upwing's tools as an aligned commercial partner. BCF's technology platform continues to expand with additional compatible production technologies.
E/01
High-Speed Motor System
A hermetically sealed, high-power permanent magnet motor (PMM) encapsulated in Inconel 718. Surface-controlled and sensorless — designed for reliable operation in harsh downhole environments up to 50,000 rpm and 140 kW at temperatures up to 250°F.
E/02
Magnetic Coupling
Positioned between motor and compressor. Non-contact torque transmission eliminates the need for rotary seals or protectors entirely — removing a primary failure mode in conventional downhole equipment and significantly improving system reliability.
E/03
Multistage Axial Compressor
CFD-optimised multi-stage axial rotor/stator design handles a broad envelope of flow conditions. Field-tested up to 150 bbl/MMSCF liquid rates. Lab-tested to 725 bbl/MMSCF. Capable of handling solids to 200 microns via the axial flow path.
E/04
Deployment Architecture
Tubing-conveyed, surface-controlled system with minimal surface modifications. Modular and compatible with a range of completion geometries. Designed for 7" casing. Full retrievability without workover. Inline Compressor System (ICS) also available for surface deployment.

Solving the Core Challenges of Mature Gas Production

BCF Energy's technology platform addresses the principal causes of production underperformance in mature gas assets, converting structural constraints into opportunities for meaningful value recovery.

01
Liquid Loading
As gas velocity decreases in mature wells, liquids accumulate in the wellbore — increasing backpressure and restricting flow. BCF Energy's technology maintains sufficient gas velocity to continuously lift liquids to surface, stabilising production and preventing premature well shutdown.
02
Declining Reservoir Pressure
As reservoir pressure declines, natural gas inflow is progressively reduced. By actively lowering bottom-hole pressure, BCF's solution restores drawdown and enhances inflow, enabling wells to produce at higher and more sustainable rates throughout their productive life.
03
Underutilised Infrastructure
Many mature assets have significant infrastructure already in place but operate well below capacity. BCF Energy unlocks additional production without requiring major capital investment, maximising returns on existing wells, facilities, and gathering networks.
04
Economic Impact
By increasing production rates and recoverable reserves, BCF Energy's approach directly improves asset economics. Operators benefit from higher revenues, improved asset valuations, and reduced unit operating costs — creating a compelling financial case for deployment.

Aligned, Flexible Commercial Structures

BCF Energy works in partnership with operators and asset owners to deliver production uplift through aligned commercial structures. Our model is designed to minimise upfront risk while maximising shared value creation — from initial pilot through to full-scale field development.

P/01 — Philosophy
Aligned Risk and Reward
BCF Energy structures partnerships where risk and reward are shared. Our objective is to build long-term relationships grounded in measurable performance and mutual value creation — with clear alignment of interests throughout the asset life.
P/02 — Entry
Low-Risk Technology Pilots
Initial engagements are structured to allow operators to evaluate technology performance with minimal financial exposure. Pilots are designed for rapid implementation and clear, jointly verified performance validation.
P/03 — Scale-Up
Scalable Expansion Models
Following successful pilots, partnerships can expand into broader commercial arrangements — including equity participation through joint ventures, farm-in structures, or asset-level acquisitions with deeper operational involvement.

Targeting High-Impact Opportunities

BCF Energy is actively advancing opportunities across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Latin America / Caribbean — regions with significant mature gas assets and strong demand for production optimisation.

R/01
Europe
Mature North Sea and continental basin assets with significant remaining reserves and robust infrastructure, presenting strong opportunities for production optimisation and reserve recovery.
